The Seattle AI Film Festival (SAIFF) celebrates visual storytelling brought to life with Artificial Intelligence. For Creators: SAIFF offers a platform to highlight your creative AI work and connect with audiences. For Audiences: SAIFF offers a curated AI film experience plus education around creative AI workflows and tools. For Sponsors: SAIFF offers ground floor access to innovation around Creativity and AI. For the Public Sector: SAIFF offers a test lab for policymaking around AI and the Creator Economy.
Located at the M5 Creative Building close to the Museum of Popular Culture and the world-famous Space Needle, SAIFF offers filmmakers cutting edge opportunities to show their work next to some of the most iconic locations on the west coast.
Submission Requirements & Categories
Entries will be evaluated based on creativity, narrative strength, technical execution, and innovative use of technology. Films must be story-driven, with technology serving to enhance—not overshadow—the story.
Each film will receive a score from the judging panel, and the highest-scoring entries will determine the winners. Judges are selected by The Festival. Judging decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
Eligibility:
Films submitted to the Seattle AI Film Festival ("The Festival") must be original works that are at least 50% AI generated or derived. Submitters will include a workflow and tools analysis via a form provided by The Festival.
Third-party content (music, video, images) requires proof of proper licensing or permissions. Films that infringe on copyright or intellectual property rights are not eligible.
Entries must be submitted by filmmakers aged 18 or older.
Only works completed within the last two years are eligible.
Films may not promote racism, misogyny, homophobia, gratuitous violence, or targeting a specific group or belief.

Awards
SAIFF provides filmmakers with physical and virtual screenings of their work. Selected entrants will see their films on one of giant LED walls. Virtual screenings will be held concurrently with the Festival.
